Battery Powered Portable Speaker Hire for Park Events
If you are planning an engagement party, picnic, or corporate gathering in a public park, your first thought is probably hiring a battery-powered speaker. However, there are significant limitations you need to know about.
The Problem with Battery Speakers
True, deep bass requires a massive amount of electrical current. Battery-powered speakers simply cannot generate the necessary wattage to produce heavy bass for a crowd of 50+ people outdoors. They are fine for background music, but they will not power a dance floor.
Our 240V Requirement
Because we focus on premium, high-volume party audio, our JBL PartyBox 710 and Vonyx 1000W systems require a standard wall outlet. If you are in a park, you will need to ensure your pavilion has public power outlets available, or you will need to hire a quiet petrol inverter generator (like a Honda 2000W).
Generator Tips for Park Audio
If you decide to use a generator for our speakers in a park, ensure it is an "Inverter" generator. Standard construction generators provide "dirty" fluctuating power that can severely damage the sensitive digital amplifiers inside modern party speakers.
Universal Speaker Setup Tips
- Power Supply: Always plug high-wattage speakers directly into a wall outlet, avoiding cheap power boards.
- Placement: Keep speakers out of direct sunlight and away from areas where drinks might be spilled.
- Connectivity: Download your playlists offline to ensure uninterrupted music if the venue's Wi-Fi drops out.
