How do I connect my music to the speaker?
Via Bluetooth 5.1. Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and pair to the speaker exactly like you would headphones — it shows up automatically. We also include an AUX cable if you prefer a wired connection.
Does the speaker need a power outlet?
Yes. To achieve 800W+ output, both the JBL PartyBox 710 and Vonyx 1000W Professional require a standard 240V wall outlet. They are not battery-powered. For park events without power access, a Honda-style inverter generator (2000W+) will work.
Where is the pickup location?
Clayton, VIC 3168. The exact street address is sent to you via text/email once your booking is confirmed. Most of South East Melbourne is within 5–25 minutes of our location.
Is a deposit required at pickup?
Yes. A small refundable security deposit and valid photo ID (driver's licence or passport) are required when you collect. The deposit is returned in full when the equipment comes back undamaged.
Can I use the speakers outdoors?
Yes — but they must stay under cover at all times. Set them up under a patio, pergola, marquee, or marquee roof. These are professional party speakers, not outdoor weather-resistant units. Exposure to rain or moisture will cause permanent damage, and you'd be liable for replacement.
How do wireless microphones work with the speaker?
Our JBL wireless mics come with a small receiver that plugs directly into the Mic input port on the back of the JBL PartyBox 710 or Vonyx. Turn on the receiver, turn on the microphone, and they pair automatically. Batteries are included.
How many people can the JBL PartyBox 710 handle?
Comfortably up to 80–120 people indoors, or 60–80 people in an outdoor undercover area. For larger events (150+ guests) in a very wide venue, the Vonyx 1000W dual-speaker system may be a better choice for even coverage.
What is included in the rental price?
The daily hire rate includes the speaker (and mics if you've selected that option), power cable, and AUX cable. There are no additional cable fees or setup fees. The security deposit is additional and is fully refundable.
What if something goes wrong with the equipment?
Text or call us immediately. We're local and can troubleshoot over the phone in most cases. Common issues — like Bluetooth pairing problems or audio cutting out — are almost always solved in under a minute with a few simple steps we'll walk you through.
Can I book for multiple days?
Yes. The daily rate applies per 24-hour period. Weekend packages (Friday pickup, Monday return) are popular and available at the daily rate per day. Contact us to confirm availability for your specific dates.
